Maruti Suzuki EVX The Electric SUV That’s Changing the Game!

Suzuki Motor Corporation has introduced an updated version of the Maruti Suzuki eVX electric SUV concept, which made its initial appearance at the Auto Expo 2023 earlier this year. The Japanese automaker has announced that the enhanced eVX concept will have its debut at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show later this month. It will share the stage with the Suzuki Swift Concept, providing a glimpse of the fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift.

This updated eVX SUV concept marks Suzuki’s first foray into the global electric vehicle strategy. The company emphasized that the eVX serves as a preview of an electric vehicle designed to deliver an authentic Suzuki SUV driving experience, with advancements in electronically controlled 4×4 technologies.

In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki eVX concept measures 4,300 mm in length 1,800 mm in width, and stands at a height of 1,600 mm. In the realm of design, the revised iteration of this all-electric concept SUV features subtle styling enhancements. Notable changes include repositioned LED lights and production-spec wing mirrors, with the Suzuki brand logo now placed slightly higher compared to the previous concept showcased at the Auto Expo 2023.

Suzuki plans to reveal the interior of the vehicle at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show. Anticipate a dual-screen setup that integrates a fully digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system into a single freestanding unit. Additionally, the cabin is likely to include a sporty flat-bottom steering wheel, rotary dials, and touch panels.

Regarding the powertrain, Maruti Suzuki previously announced that the eVX would be equipped with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. However, they did not disclose the specific cell chemistry for the production model. The EV’s range was initially stated as 550 km, and Suzuki has now updated it to a 500 km range on a single charge.
